Now it's all houses but there use to be a nice loop on Smoke Ranch from Brinley Jr HS up through "Little Red Rock" over to Calico Basin. We use to do some very mild rock crawling on the Little Red Rocks. I lived off of Lake Mead And Micheal Way so that was the favorite.Logandale system, spring valley, Nellis dunes, Lake mead... Everything from exploring rarely used BLM roads to the desert wildlife range, I do get around
Since you know the area, Its near Alamo, that the BLM has allotted a fairly large portion of land for trail use ( thats what I`m looking forward to!)
What were your favorites?
Other favorite trips:
Lovell Canyon
Lake Mead, West End Wash
Nellis Dunes
Wheeler Pass
Fossil Ridge, Morman Peak
I don't know the name of the trail but we use to go from Sand Hill over the mountains to the Dry Lake south of Rail Road Pass.
Alamo is a neat little town. There is a route you can take from Corn Creek across the bombing range
