I came across this GX that had been in an accident with pretty minimal damage. After buying one for my mom before Christmas time, I have become intrigued with the little Prados. It was definitely well cared for in its previous life, so I think it's time to take it back to its Land Cruiser roots. Definitely going to need bumpers, sliders and a lift. 33s should be sufficient for now. :)

I put the original fender and flare back on just to show how minor this was. No hood damage at all and impact was forward of the wheel the original bumper is actually still not bad either. I could out it back on if desired, but instead it's going to pick up a little steel!

I have looked at the 460 as a possible next rig for my wife. What is the likely hood of being able to sleep in the back, is it long enough?

@Funner Good question...so I just checked, cause I'm a nerd like that. With rear seats up my feet hang out the back by about 6 inches. Same as my 100. 460 may be a little longer. I am 6' FWIW. If the rear seats were out then it would be a no brainer.

subscribed. can't wait for the results!

Going to the Southern Style front bumper?

Adventure Driven has a very modded-out GX. Check their FB page if you need some inspiration. Nice truck, BTW!

PS, You are going to need a dealer license!

@Pitch That assumes Jason sells any of his vehicles. It appears he is more of a buy and hold guy.

@brices123 ,shhh if my wife hears that I'm in trouble.

@jclarke450 I understand. My wife is at Disneyland with the kids and I am picking up a new Land Cruiser tonight.

Oooohh, Whatcha gettin

I bought Mike Kreitz's 2006 100. Less than 100K on it, and it is beautiful. Think I might make it my daily driver.

Will be posting photos tomorrow.

Do you know anyone interested in an Audi A4?... :)

Pffffttt...your wife doesn't already know it?

Actually, I tease him that I'm glad I'm not a vehicle...as fast as he goes through them. I must be the 80 in his life. :angelic:

My wife learned a long time ago that if I so much as mention a vehicle or any motorized object in any context she needs to say she doesn't want me to buy it or I will assume she is endorsing my eventual purchase. You should ask her sometime about me showing up at home with a new boat. Didn't even own a tow vehicle until later that weekend....

You are like the perfect Landcruiser, he will never trade up.

My buddy has a kitted-out GX470, he loves it (original build on Expedition Portal, I can track it down if you're interested). What year is it and where did you find it? Perfect starter rig for a build, I'm assuming you got a great deal on it given the accident.

KDSS?

@tlin , 2004 no KDSS and yes I got a great deal...almost embarrassed to say how good. It has 210k, but having gotten to know these drivetrains over the last few years, that doesn't concern me at all. New R&P and New CVs prior to purchase and accident. I bought it from the insurance company. They totaled it, so it has a salvage title due to the cost of new Lexus parts and the mileage. I can say with total confidence that I scored :) . I would love to see what build your buddy has going. I have been looking at several. This thing was a garage queen owned by a woman prior to the accident. My 100 has made me very happy but I am anxious to build this and compare to the 200. I see another Box Canyon run coming before the hot season starts.
