What’s up Upstate?!? I’m a new/ old/ returning member from 2000/2001 era. Help set up Upstate Cruisers first ride in Uwharrie in 2000 later appropriately dubbed “ The Dust Bowl” in the following newsletter. Back then I had a tan 1976 40series. Since then we’ve had an 80 series, a 1982 FJ40 with factory a/c and power steering. Spent 4 years on that one. A first gen 4Runner and now an 89 FJ62. Look forward to the possibility of seeing some old faces and new. Only had the opportunity to meet Marshall so far.

Well welcome back! I was also active in UC back in '99 to about '03 and then job change and kids activities occupied more time. Got back involved about 3+ years ago. I had a silver '85 FJ60 when i first joined and later a '90 Grey FJ62 and then bought Alan Hardin's Tan '76 FJ40.
Joel Sudduth bought his tan FJ60 from me soon after I got it to restore. He worked with me at the Chick-fil-A on Woodruff Road.
Does your FJ62 have a V-8? I think I recall seeing it for sale a few months ago......glad you changed your mind if that was you!

It does and it’s still for sale. Going for a fj60/62 that’s in a little worse shape. This one is too nice for the kind of wheeling I do !!

It should. It’s in the club now. However it had two destructive owners apparently between me and the current owner

It hasn't changed much. lol

Funny thing is Rob now has the roll cage. I still have everything else I took off it or changed. Including the top, rack, rear bumper, hyper shackles, and even the original motor which is on a stand at my house.
