I just swapped to 275/70/18s along with the OEM front coil spacers and Bora 1" wheel spacers. The stance is money. Rubbed in the front of the wheel well and on the front mud flap. I pushed the fender liner forward and redrilled holes. Trimmed a little off the front mud flap. No rubbing now.

Definitely go for it. It's a massive improvement and the rub was easy to deal with.

What are OEM front coil spacers? Does Toyota make some? Have a GX and want to slightly lift/level front. Thank you!

Toyota makes a front coil spacer for the LC200 that will raise the front of the vehicle 7/8” to 1”. It is an OEM stock item in some markets, but not here…but the part can be ordered through any Toyota dealer. Lots of threads about it here. But I have no idea if there is a similar part for a GX, or if the LC200 spacer will fit a GX suspension.

I've run both 285/65R18 and 275/70R18.. (at the same time! double check your tire shop's work folks!) IMO the extra width of the former looks better than the marginal extra height of the latter.

That said I dislike that nearly all 285/65R18s are e-load tires.. we have no need for that robust of a tire. But the Wildpeak is available in non-LT 285/65R18 construction which I believe to be a huge win for us.

And congrats on the new rig! My White 2013 is setting personal records for length of ownership.. and a 16+ would be even more appreciated.

Decided to order some Method 703’s with a 35mm offset in 17”x8.5. I’ve got a friend with Wrangler take-off KO2’s in size 285/70R17 that he only put 5k miles on before upsizing. He’s said he’ll give them to me, and I realize they’re only 2ply, but for the light wheeling I’ve got in the plans, they should do fine. I’ll throw snows on the stock wheels for the winter.
