NEW FJ40 Dash Cluster

Looking forward to purchase one of your new clusters for my FJ40..I am totally impressed on finish and quality of this new high tech cluster.

Keep the great work coming !

I will spread the word that a truly visible night cluster with warnings is now on the market.

It's awesome and I'm definitely interested in getting one. Tach would be good to have.

nice but I do agree with price to high

With my tech abilities had same idea in mind at one time but cost was cheaper buying a billet gauge and adding the nice green or blue or red cyberdyne gauges.
But after looking at BTBs gauge set using autometers old style looking white gauges I started searching. You can make a variety of billet panels with a large choice of gauges including digital.
ONe credit to this look is that it is more natural to a real cluster look.
BUt again I was planning to take the pre-drilled billet panel and instead of mounting gauge from front through making a clamp for back mounting the gauge to give the sunken look again keeping it looking more natural view.

OH I have total price in the 400 dollar range maxium with quality meters and billet panel.
So come on guys get that price down to the 400 range, with todays market the part to make should not be that high pushing cost to this extreme,, For 600 dollars I would develop my interface to my iphone, ipad or ?? for my gauges.

Would it be possible to use my original dash panel and just replace the lower gauges? I would like to keep my speedometer and odometer. I know it’s seems an odd question, I have 62,000 original miles on my cruiser and kind of like the novelty and low miles. Looks like a great product!

Hey You, never thought of that. Good idea.. We are designing a new circuit board for the rear metal cup much like the stock one. Maybe using the lower part of our board inside the standard housing. We will do what we can to design that in.:beer: Thanks.

Great, let me know!

are the individual compnents modular? For example, in my plans for my 40, I plan on running 2 fuel tanks, and a turbodiesel motor. Would it be possible to swap out the fuel guage for a pyrometer?

fj60/62

love the look of the cluster....but wonder if you guys would make one for fj60 /62 with the similar set up design

I'm not giving up on the stock dash panel design as yet but I also don't make the final decisions on new products. I have lots of motivation on this project, I want one for my FJ. ;p If we can come up with a rugged cost effective design I think the stock dash will come to market. There's all that stuff like design costs, labor, overhead, sensor costs.....

Man I really want this to come out, what about doing a "special" where if you buy the gauge cluster you throw in a seperate tachometer, or reduced price or something, just a little incintive to get some guys off the fence...

When do you think this will be available, web site just says "coming soon" and has ever since I've been to the sight...

imabigbangkindaguy and all, we cut plastic today so in the next few days I should get something lit up. The look will change some, when powered off the gauge text won't be visible like in post #1 so you will only see text when power is applied(all backlit). There will be a tach above the speedo standard unless you don't want one. Our goals are to try and stay focused on a standard design i.e. speedo, tach, volt, oil, temp, fuel. What has slowed us down in the past is to try to do something different to suite customer projects and that just eats up too much production and design time. We can entertain other changes later once we get some stock panels installed.

If everything goes well we could ship in a month.

This should answer some questions...The speedo will come in MPH or KPH which is just a lense change at this point. You won't be able to swap with a button press. The tach will come out first for the gas engines and the diesel will come out afterwards. Not a big deal just has not been tested on a diesel.

Thanks all

Plastic panel parts were shipped today so I will get them in a couple days. Should have some REAL pictures first of next week. I mocked up the older picture of what the dash will look like with a tach, the blinker arrows lit up and the bright indicator on. I have a set of demo gauges that I will use for pictures, demo units show numbers without sensor inputs so they should give a real representation. I will take day and night pictures.

Is there a reason that you changed the order of the lower gauges, Why not just have them the same as stock?

I can certainly look at that, this is the time to make those changes. During the initial layout I used my gut feel for what I wanted, to me grouping the two most important gauges (water temp & oil pressure) together makes for efficient motor-head viewing. After that I went for balance, both internal gauges are 3 digits and the two outer are most always 2 digits. I can also see how following the original pattern is what folks might like. Hmm..
