New front windshield for my 1997

So I need to replace my windshield, and the glass guy is saying my 29 year old gasket is fine, I have an OEM new one, but he is trying to tell me the old one is fine ( I have the original one still in place ,so should I find another glass guy or just listen to him because he is the glass guy

He's an idiot. The old gasket is bonded to the glass so he will have fun removing it without destroying it.

Oh I have, and agree, I use the Toyota FSM on several vehicles I am just getting conformation
