Here's the little guys I ordered off Ebay..if you need a link just let me know..there supposed to be 5 watts a/p. The only complaint I had was the color, there was a bit of difference in the 5 I bought...so I just paired them up. Bright as hell. I've replaced almost every light on my truck to LED..and even made my own reverse lights (mounted to the hitch) out of aluminum, lexan and some on sale Christmas decorations...lol

And the reverse lights..very simple to make..take little power to run compared to the pair of 55 watt floods I had.....and almost as much light! Kinda like looking a laser beam when on....lol. Anyone interested I think I have a some pix to help make them.

If you have the pics of the lights in work that would be great. What do you figure you have wrapped up in them $$ once you were completed? They look like a great add on to the stock poor performing reverse lights.

Nice work!

I'd love to SSeaman..what topic or location do you think I should start the thread under? I'm actually going to start making another set over the weekend so I'll take better pix as I go.

I know, I know...not very rustic...but it was only a dry run. were having a little blowout later this afternoon, with the whole fam damily, so I wanted to surprize my nephew who loves camping. Have to work tomarrow but I have mon. off to work on some details. Never made it to the steel supplier yesterday to pick up the iron for the front rack (didn't leave work till' almost 9 p.m.) so I'm kinda shot today. Anyway, the setup took about 20 mins. and we both went up into the tent, solid as a rock!!

Nice looking set up. One comment on the tent... Make sure you seal all, and I mean all, the seams on that thing before you take it out if you think it might rain. Jwomac got soaked and gave me the heads up on seam sealing. I did mine before my Lake Superior trip where it rained every day and night and I stayed perfectly dry. Also, spray the fly with a silicone sealer/water proofer as well because rain likes to collect up there and drips into the tent if you have the flap open.

Thanks photogod for heads up...I sure will follow that advice. So far so good on the seams, but as with all tents it's just a matter of time.

Be well, Pat

Sweet build, where did you get those jacks and how high to they go? I am looking to redo a lot on the suspension, toungue and leveling on mine.

Northern tool .com has tons of jacks.

Man that is a nice looking setup. Should serve you well. I can't wait to get a tent to put on mine.

I like the back yard too!

already checked out northern tool and they really didnt have what I was hoping for. But still on the hunt.

:wrench:Update Time!! More PITA Electric !!

Anyways...a few of the the finished back door lock(whick turned out to be a huge ball breaking job), the new 12v plugs on the outside, and some eletrical panel updates.

Firt off...thanks again sseaman for the Teardrops link, I still have a ways to go, but these guys and you made this possible (please forward a home addy so I can send the bill to you when this fugger burns to the ground...lol) I don't have a vast knowlegde of electrical, so everything is a struggle. Murphy's friggin Law never takes a day off in my world.

I crimped and soldered all the ends, so at least I can take that out the mix when it doesn't work. The panel has the following:

3- dedicated 12v plug recp. on a 15a fuse
4- 12v lighting/acces. circuts on toggle switches
1-12v cut-off switch, totally disables all 12v
1- 15amp shore power circut breaker (old fuse type) going directly to ground fault receptacle on the panel face, which also will be be wired into a receptacle on the outside of the trailer.

I have Tues. off so I'll hopefully get this mounted inside the trailer, and start the front rack..whew...hopefully be ready for camping before Christmas...lol :hillbilly::wrench::hillbilly::wrench::hillbilly::wrench::hillbilly:
