Hi All,

Just an intro post. I have a 2025 LC250 that has a fair amount of mods and just bought a 1992 FJ80 with 250k miles as a fix up project and beat around/hunting truck. Admittedly i am very much a novice on 80’s series. I make my living as a hunting and fishing consultant and specialize in international destinations. I fell in love with LC’s in Africa many years ago and finally am an owner and loving it. I look forward to learning from all of you. Cheers.

Welcome to MUD.

Yup, welcome! Both rigs look solid, you came to the right place for 80's advice!

What is that nasty toothy looking fish that you have in your sig, from South America? I fish for Rock (Striped Bass), Bluefish, Flounder, & occasionally Spanish Macs here in the Chesapeake Bay. Also, what is your hunting specialty? I'm personally not a hunter, but my son is a big deer & goose hunter here again around the Chesapeake. I have friends in CO that get extra Elk tags for their properties out there, but I haven't been out for a hunt yet.

That is a big tigerfish from Tanzania. My real passion is hunting Africa and I love all the dangerous stuff. Cape buffalo is pretty close to the top. I love elk and turkey in US, but have been lucky enough to hunt 6 continents numerous times and just love the experience and seeing new places and people.

Come on in, the water's fine!

Did you watch the River Monsters episode where Jeremy went to Africa to target those Tigerfish? Really good episode.
