Not much to report really. Popped in the black lock (belting?...) strips on the cargo windows and hatch window seals that the po didnt replace when he dechromed. Bought the tool so it went in real easy with the help of some silicone spray.

Also replaced the exhaust gaskets on the motor and at the collectors with some copper ones. Had an exhaust leak, slight one at the ds header and a bad one at the ps collector. The header gaskets went in easy and theres no more leaks but I had a hard time getting the collectors sealed. Ended up using a copper gasket sandwiched between 2 paper ones glued together with high heat gasket goop on each side. Sounds good now, hope it lasts lol.

So no more RHD in Ontario? I had heard that but wasn't sure it was true. What are current owners going to do?

The current owners are grandfathered in with whatever insurance company they were with. From what I hear they (insurance companies) all got together and came up with the no more insurance for rhd's about a year and a half ago. Im a little pissed now because Im hearing that some dude just got a rhd toy soarer insured locally with some phantom insurance company..... Im still trying to find out which one.

A cop buddy told me that the real reason they wont insure them is the whole rhd thing being unsafe when passing etc. Ive also heard that they have a hard time tracking down parts for claims... Who knows what the real story is.

In the end Im kinda glad I got the datch (knock on wood), I now have a truck to dd which is useful and its got some of the goodies the 80 I wanted had (lockers/winch).

Been looking at too many rat rod related things....

Overflow tank made from an old plant food spray bottle and odds and ends.
