Buy it direct from DNP. That’s where I got mine too. I went with black and had Doug use black on the bottom of my door panels.Where do you buy this DNP carpet? I would like to purchase

The little notched area is to accommodate for the bump in your center side panel. I believe it bulges for the Jack/tools.Bought a cruiser and (because?) it came with one of @dnp ’s carpet kits. I started laying things out and am wondering if it’s the wrong kit.
I do not see this in other folks install pics - can anyone shed any light?
Specifically - the notch in the drivers side cargo area.
Thanks.

Just saw this post. I'm not sure whose truck you purchased, but that cargo area carpet is for the late-floor design, which @cruiserdan correctly noted, started with the '86 model trucks. That being said, if you have a complete set, you will also likely have the wrong front sections as well. The front seat riser design was changed in '86 from a tall to a low design. Therefore, the "pockets" in the front of the correct set for yours will be deeper that the late floor models. I had a similar setup and removed the jute to help with fitment
Yeah, I think what you're experiencing is too much "thickness" under the carpet. While both of the products you're using are great, the SecondSkin product is thick, even alone. However, when combined with the 80mil KilMat and the carpet jute, they're going to have a tendency to lift the carpet enough to where you'll experience bagginess in the transmission tunnel area. They'll also affect the fitment in certain areas. How does the front section fit for everyone here? The rear, mid, and wheel arches fit great for me. I am really struggling with the front. Driver side looks great, but I cant get the passenger to lay right. It always seems too far back, and the section on the trans tunnel wont lay flat. The whole trans tunnel section seems a bit big and loose.
I do hace kilmat 80 and secondskin luxury liner down so that could be impacting fitment. I left the jute backing on the rear sections, but I am considering removing it on the front for better fitment.
