@retrofive I am corresponding with Luke about the 3rd Gen rears. The one that @lurch built a year or so ago was an adaptation of the 80 shell and Luke is working on some more model specific applications for the 4Runner family. I will PM you details when I hear back from him on some specifics.
Most excellent. (this would not be part of this GB as I have to many projects and funds out right now, but would like to know)

Man, if Luke had a front bumper for the 2014+ 5th gen 4Runners I'd get a DIY kit. I know he has one for the 2010-2013 with the different headlights.

Dont mess with your wifey's car! she will not like the fact that you are draining the bank account, plus all the time away from doing house chores because you are in the garage welding using up more electricity!...just stop, cause i cant catch up!

j/k: your rig looks mean!! stop hanging around socallove....he will too soon drain your savings!

Well I kind of indicated the same. I told him I would rather him concentrate on taking care of ready to ship items for this GB and that I would stay in touch to keep tabs on the 3rd gen progress.

It also seems that there might be enough interest in a another GB once he gets some of the bugs worked out of his 2nd, 3rd and 4th gen 4runner offerings. To be continued.

As far as the GB proper I am talking to him about his 80 series cargo baskets and will post up once I have my order lined up with him.

Paging @Bimrunner - have you seen any 4x4Labs front bumpers for the 2014s yet?

He needs one to mock up the difference off. He has one being dropped off in the next week or two. I bet he'd do it for you if you would be willing to wait a couple months for the kit... At your pace on your green blob, you wouldn't have time before that anyhoo. Lol.

Cme4lyt, you are welcome, thanks for joining us to make it happen. My post #1 has all the Sacramento guys grouped together, maybe you can organize a group haul to save some $$$.

I'm in. Thanks. I emailed Luke directly and am good to go. This will be my 3rd Labs bumper. Anybody on the fence.....you will not be disappointed, great product.

Does this apply just to bumper kits and or bumpers? I have a dbl swing out rear and just looking for a few accessories that bolt to my sleeved rung on my ladder?

Per Luke this applies to most everything he sells I believe. I am looking at some DIY interior cargo baskets for my 80. Shoot him an email with what you want and he will send you back a quote I'm sure. He did for me.

Ok, so I haven't read all six pages and don't know if this has been covered yet. Can you by a basic bumper kit, weld it up, install, then later down the road add swing outs to it as your needs grow ?
You should be able to. Just get the kit for swingouts but without swingouts. You'll just have to live with holes in the bumper shell. Or weld in the spindles but leave them bare. That way you don't have to remove the bumper or re paint to add swingouts.

My single swing bumper had two holes, had to cover one

Yep, what @jcardona1 said. I am pretty sure the shells all come with the holes punched. You can add the spindles and arms, just arms, or just accessories all as time and budget allows. Matter of fact, IPOR has worked out some kind of deal with Luke, as they now sell their rears setup to use his modular accessory system.

Dang! My wife says I have to wait until tax returns. :bang: Let me know if any extension occurs. I get my moo-la mid Feb. DIY Rear kit is on my list.

It sounds like Luke is offering a layaway. Send him some money to lock the deal (and commit to buy) and come up with the serious money in a month or so. Gives him time to get caught up with the rest of the group buy. Send him an email if you want in. See what he says.

I will head to the bank and see what I can come up with$$ Thanks for the nudge!

I am jumping in on this, I just sent an email with all my order information to Luke. For the group buy record however:
Rear dual swing bumper Kit (DIY), with Tire holder, and cooler basket.
Shipping to business address in Idaho, 83301

Thanks for all the hard work putting this together. Looks like an awesome product. Had my eye on doing this for a while, just needed the nudge.
