So that makes Mel a grave robber? Hah!

Beautiful, well done my friend.

Yep, CLASSIC MOVIE and gotta love the Wagoneer, even though it is a Jeep...

J

I'm going to have to watch that movie again. I haven'tseen Iit in so long it will be new again.

I personally love wagoneers, I think every manufacturer has made awesome cars.

This build thread is really taking off.
Shane, You are doing an incredible restoration.

You know that feeling of getting new car parts in the mail.
Updates on this thread are kinda like that

Hey, I pulled "A Shane" today...I bought a backup/spare to a new part I already had installed....windshield gasket...the sickness grows :)

So, Santa made a late delivery today...actually TWO deliveries.

Here's a pic of the first one (below) and while some of you may be curious as to how this will be incorporated into the FJ60 build - it's more of a safety measure for passengers (b/c I'm always safety oriented), lol.

The 2nd package that arrived was from Onur - aka, I just had a massive orgasm parts box (pic to be added shortly):

Oh, the anticipation. . .

Shane has the direct phone number to YOTA-CLAUS!!!! HEE HEE!!!

J

And speaking of YOTA-CLAUS. . .my oh my oh my (translation = concrete busting woody):

I thank the financial overlord of Toyota, Japan, for discontinuing so many parts b/c at this rate, I'd rebuild this mofo piece by piece. So many neat, clean and crisp little baggies. . .I'll leave the stickers on them just in case the DEA comes knowing at the door, hehe.

Enjoy and Nelson. . .I have absolutely no excuse; and J - thank you for the compliment, much appreciated and mutual; and Onur - I'm thinking it would've been cheaper to marry & divorce you, lol, and seriously, thank you for all of your help...she wouldn't be undergoing this transformation without your input/significant assistance

Merry Christmas. . .again-

Shane

i need to get a few of those as well ;)

And here's a few more teaser pictures to help you get motivated:

If you don't already have a trust...and you're an active shooter, you should consider getting one ASAP. NFA trust ruling being revisited again by Spring. Let me know if I can help...and just a warning - it's as addictive as the 60 psychosis.

S,
Are those OEM headlight surrounds?!?!?! Sweet! I assume you'll keep them chrome then...too nice. I need to see a list of what these parts are so that I'll know what i didn't know i needed. HAH!....but serious a list.

Called CDan today and added to my order....ugh. headlight buckets, rings, springs, rear tail lights, misc screws. At this point i do think yhou''re still ahead of me with NOS parts.

I'll have some updates on my rig this weekend hopefully...want to knock a ton off the list.

Cheers,

K

Great gun vise too...got that one as well. :)

GAAAAAAAA. I need one for my 7.62, 5.56, 45 (already threaded at least), 9MM, and my .22 rifle. I'm going to need to talk to you about this...don't have a trust yet.

K-

Copy on the parts list - I'll PM you by this weekend. Also, how close are you to TorFab? I'm going to fly up to meet him either before Peru or shortly after returning. If you're close, I'd say a beer. . .or many. . .is in order.

BTW - any progress on your rig will only cause me to develop high blood pressure - as my progress is controlled by others' schedules at the moment. I'm excited - for all of us - as I truly enjoy seeing the devotion/dedication/passion amongst OCD psychopaths, lol. Good luck this weekend and look fwd to pics of your progress.

Copy. 7.62 will handle =/below (SilencerCo being the better choice if u shoot SBR 5.56 and/or 300 mag/300 short) but AAC makes a really nice budget friendly 7.62 can.

.45 will handle =/below (.45, .40, 9mm, .380, etc. - even survived repeated 10mm shots); SilencerCo's Osprey is my favorite (pending ATF/NFA stamp) followed by the AAC's Ti-RANT.

22LR cans are awesome - have two of them, both AAC's.

In most cases, cans are legal to carry across state lines - however, I STRONGLY advise checking with x state before you do as such (nervous LOL).

Pistol platform AR's - even those with the Sig Wrist Brace - don't require ATF/NFA stamps.

300 blkout & 5.56 uppers can share the same lower, mags. So, theoretically, you could have a pistol lower capable of shooting both the 300 blkout and 5.56, suppressed, and oh so beautiful.

First between the pix of the parts and the Saker I'm shaking right now (i could stroke out at any moment).

His place is about 30 min north of me, I'm between the airport and his place basically. You fly in and I'll pick you up! I was just up at his place on Tuesday night, had him do some electrical work. Tram would love to meet Mel if she'd be coming too....I have a feeling they'd hit it off (T's in love with old Land Cruisers...and is probably a better shot than me with her 9mm...won't admit that to her though).

From Tuesday when I picked my rig back up. :)
