Photo (or illustration from parts book is fine) needed showing how the retractor for the front 3 point belts mount - please.

I think the mount to the floor?

I have some 3 point belts from a Pig and they have a bracket that looks like it would mount to a vertical surface (bottom of the "B" pillar?).

I peeled back the vinyl on my DS B pillar and there are no provisions for mounts, either down low or up high.

I saw an Aussie RHD Pig that mounted the 3 point belts up high on the B pillar vs in the middle of the rear door. My B pillar is not set up to do that.

SO can anyone hook me up with pics? I would like to try and make a hardware run at lunch if anyone can turn my photo request quickly...

TIA!

I am no help.

My front seats are out of a Silverado and have integral shoulder harnesses.

I had a rear cargo area hoop bent and I attached the shoulder points to it for the rear passengers.

When my headliner and trim was off, I never saw a good attachment point for shoulder harnesses. Nothing that looked comfortable.

Here's what Lil'John did......linky

Links are awesome - thanks Nick!

I wonder if he plated over those holes to keep the the nut from pulling through if it is ever needed.

Still need to see a pic of how the factory did it if possible?

For anyone who looked at Lil'John's thread and wondered what an extruded u-nut is:

A funny thing happened at the parts store today, I went to go get some bolts and nuts to begin fabbing a lower mount for the retractor and discovered that the fastener in place for the shoulder portion (looks very factory-specific) is not a metric thread?!?

It was 7/16"x20...

I have yet to confirm what the thread in the roof mount is.

Like these? On my 77, the retractor housing mounts to the bottom of the B pillar, and the fixed end of the retractable belt mounts to the floor adjacent to that. The latching end bolt directly to the floor, and the pivot point is just fore of the grab handle of the back seats. HTH

The other two...

I'm thinking about a cage. Both to mount the rack thru the roof, and to mount rear retractors to. I need to go to the JY.....anyhooo

I put new black pontiac seats in my 55 last month. Dumped the old gray supra seats. But, I am having trouble finding black seat belts long enough to replace them. I also did what John did and made flat bar extensions.
