Need to borrow and SST and some stock 40 shackles

Anybody have a knuckle SST and some stock 40 front shackles '69-'80 I can borrow? I want the stock shackles for fitment only so you will get them back...and if Sean keeps his job, maybe you will get them back powder coated.

I have two knuckle jobs to do and none of the parts are matching so I need to set them up right.

If I recall correctly, the chapter has the knuckle SST for checkout to members. If not, I have the SST too.
The stock shackles I have are for the Aug1980 & up FJ40s; but due to the larger pin with these, you probably can not use them with your truck. If I have the year wrong for your gem and could use these, let me know.

I thought somebody had the SST. I guess I have to wait for the road crew to return!

I am unsure of the pin size. Lemme check that out. I did not think hat changed. I am getting some 2" springs here on mud so I will located everything and get back t yu on that.

My shackles are off my '81 so they will not be of use to you. The SST options may be driven by when do you need to set up the knuckles and will you be going north first or south to pick up the SST. Which do you think it will be?

Huh? I think that lost something in translation I don't know who has the club SST. It may be easier for me to go south and borrow yours. I have two sets of knuckles to do so I will need a long weekend (and lots of rags) to do it. Also I will be in Michigan from the 6th to the 12th for TuT. I have all my parts I need for the rebuilds but do need to get my discs turned. I will do that this week.

The shackles are secondary and have nothing to do with this part of the "project". Now I am buying a set of 2.5 inch springs from a guy in NC so the shackles will wait until after I have those anyway.

You appear to have lost nothing in translation. If you go north, then you will be borrowing the SST from the STLCA. If you go south, then you will be borrowing mine. Also while planning for the STLCA shop day, Roger indicated that he had custody of the STLCA's SST and I did not need to bring mine. My guess would be that Roger still has it and, after he has had a chance to catch up after such a trek, he will chime with the info you are looking for. Your question and quest may just be poorly timed.

So SST is all I need unless someone else comes through before the 21st.
