I am looking at a 45 PU. Have wanted one since the firs time I saw one. Have a line on one...but want to see what you think she is worth?

No real "rust" (surface only where there are dents scratches, etc.) Pretty much all there, She needs mirrors, corner window and a couple littlle odds and ends. runs well...hasn't driven more than 40 miles at one time in 10 years

My 67 is a POS compared to that one. I wouldn't let mine go for less than $5k. The one your looking at would save me about $3k worth of parts and agravation.

Yeah, from what can be seen on the outside, it looks like it was well kept & probably at
the very least stored under a carport. A real diamond in the rough ;)

What can you tell about the engine? & overall health of the girl ?:D

Even in today's slumping market... It would go for around $7k easy on ebay.

She is a 67
as stated....she runs well.....but the present owner has owned it for 10yrs and never had her more than 25 miles from home...So.......its your guess....belts, hoses at least to start..the true milage is unknown. Has been in AZ/CA all her life. odometer works and reads 90+K. w/3 on the tree

here are a couple more

GET IT!

I paid $6K for one in similar condition a year and a half ago.

If for some strange reason you are going to pass on that truck please PM me, or at least let the list know.

Thanks
nick

She's older then a "67", I guess it's a 65 based on the vent on the front window, and it looks like it has the bug catcher wing windows. Check the vin # on SOR. It was probably first titled in 67. She is in great shape and worth 6k-9k on Ebay

I dont go by Sam Hell anymore......
The seller is firm at $6700.00 and after taking a beating on the market....the funds just to tight. AND $6700.00 + 1/2 of what I own (might cause a divorce) is just to much of a gamble...

Going to have to settle with the $3500.00 1980 FJ40 w/135,000 miles I found today :crybaby:

Wind in his Hair would say:

Just an additional thought.. mention how tight the market is. Maybe he'll bend afterall. :meh:

That's about the most decent FJ45 I've seen come up in a while. Could you leave a standing offer of $4k on the table and see if he calls you in a month?

With a new 2F, an H55f and a small amount of body work and paint it would be a beauty.

Ya thats about where I left it.............."you have my number"!! I'll keep my fingers crossed till I lose feeling

I'd agree not 67, mine didn't have the vent on the windshield either.

6700 is not a bad deal when you look at what you are getting. Might want to consider selling something(hint: wife...JK.:) I've have seen some that are much more need in repair. Just needs a little a TLC. I've been wanting a fj45 myself for years and that was before I bought a fj40 but somehow I have managed to keep yearning for a fj45. Trust me the feeling never goes away.

I bought this one off the internet last January for way too much.No engine, sitting since 1986. Tons of work later I'm still glad to have a 45. They have been in my blood since i was 14 and now I am 55. No s***.
