Mounted on the bracket that holds the ignition coil, there is a small black box with two leads, one blue and one black.

The blue wire connects to a black/yellow wire and disappears into the harness above the oil pressure wiring. The black one runs above the fender, is about 18” long, and has a ring that looks like it is suppose to be frame grounded.

Mine is free floating, and would like to know where it is supposed to go.

I am trying to find the small black box in the fsm but have not had luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It doesn’t appear to be connected to the ignition components anywhere - just shares the bracket, and I don’t see anything that looks like this on the ignition system in the manual… can you point me towards the diagram that would have this on it?

Sorry I am not familiar with toyota, but have seen these on other vehicles. I did find the pictured one on eBay which backs up my theory a bit.
