Junk man told me that these carbs are off of Land Cruisers but I don’t see any markings that indicate that they are.

Take a look and let me know what you think.

Thanks

75/76 2F carbs.

Thats is what I was told. They don’t have the usual day, month stamp I am used to seeing on the air horn. One of them has a thicker than usual insulator block between the top and bottom half and is taller than the other?

Thanks for the help.

PS: Who wants to buy them?

Date stamps are clearly visible, I can see it the last photo, nothing off-color here. Just read the numbers and you’ll have a better idea but part number will be the most accurate.

Nate if I understand what you are saying, I don’t see the date stamp? Not like what I’m used to seeing as in the photo included. Like 3K23?
When I run the number on the green label off the secondary it does ID it as a 1976.

Clean with brass or similar light brush but i can see the numbers faintly. I circled where in red, it’s on the top not front of carb.

Again though, the manufacture date doesn’t necessarily mean it matches the application. Toyota stamps them with a date code and if it were procured from the dealer, it could be a replacement unit that would’ve had a small metal tag with the last 5 digits of part number to identify. Many or most times the tag is gone or broken so if you have the part number (which you do) on the secondary, that is your driver for determining exact application.

All that aside 75-79 is just variations based on jetting and driver aids on carb, fundamental carb is the same and parts can be shared.

Use the SOR carb identifier and you can see the differences, there’s too many for me to sit and list while on my flight.

Thanks Nate. I do think they are missing the metal tags. I cleaned that circled surface and put on my glasses and the number were so vague almost not legible.
Anyways, they are verified as 2F carbs and that is what I was after.

Bob, I would be slightly interested in the’76; however, the junk man needs to be aware that it is not a complete core. The factory fuel cut solenoid is missing, as well as the accelerator pump arm and lift rod. And the throttle positioner linkage.

And perhaps the most important question 😉: do both the throttle shafts move?
