Need Advice TN HWY 111 type of road for GSMTR

Hello,
I will heading south to GSMTR and need some advice on what road to take. If I go 75 it looks like a long haul on TN HWY 111. I know in some areas HWY roads like this can be super slow in loaded 60. The other option is to stay on 71 and cut down to 40 this adds about 30min. to the google maps but looks like more interstate.
Any TN people that could help would be appreciated.

I'm not from TN, but I'd recommend taking I-40 into Cookeville, then head due south into Sparta.

HWY111 on the north side is 4 lanes it looks like till just south of Lexington. as see on Goggle earth. I hope this helps.

I'm coming from the south. Not sure if I will do I-75 or 41. Probably 41 to Chattanooga and then hit the slab.

If you take Hwy 41 stay on it all the way to jasper then hwy 28 to dunlap then hwy 111 to sparta.

Cool. I will likely do that depending on what time I leave the house Wednesday late afternoon.
