I’m 99% certain the Curt one is a standard bolt spacing. I’ll see if I can spot the reference to spacing.

I took the step off but I’m having no luck finding a hitch. Only one that I can find that would work is the CURT one but I can’t find a bolt pattern so I’m unsure if it will fit. Even tried calling CURT, I just get an automated machine that puts me on hold forever. Nobody ever answers. Someone wanna make me one?
Would you believe that U-Haul on Nanaimo Street is a Curt dealer - they can probably help you out .

This might help:

If you haven’t ordered... or for someone else:

I ordered one just waiting for it to be delivered. I also bought a cargo carrier for it but it came with no hardware, so back to the store it goes. Pretty stoked. The cargo carrier is going to help so much when camping

where did you order from and how much? I’m in the same boat.

+/- 10 years ago I bought one an aluminum fabricator had buisness himself. It’s essentially flat deck & it has a plastic pickup truck cargo box on it that locks. I’ll post a pic once I find/take one.

the locking cargo box comes on very handy and helps make sure nothing walks (or gets wet)

I’ve been wrapping up large piles of pruning in a large 10 x 20 tarp and hauling them down to the compost drop off nearby on top of it.

Brought the riding lawnmower on it recently. The tractor was wide enough it overhung the back edge as well as covering the rear bumper. It was safe and secure back there… it was barely noticeable.

I’d say it’s pretty well built if it can hold a ride on lawnmower. The lock box is a great idea. Might do something similar

I’m sure it’ll hold at least as much as the Home Depot unit. The mower is only about 350 lbs, and half of that was on the rear bumper. It didn’t flinch in the least thought.

The plastic lock box isn’t super secure, but it keeps valuables out of sight, and dry.

I should have been more specific to the conversation…where did you order the receiver from?

I’m surprised it held it so well. I’m going to try to keep it below 200lbs. I’m paranoid of it breaking 😱

The load on the carrier would have been <200 lbs because 1/2 was on the rear bumper. I’m sure it would handle the full load, but less is more.

I almost bought the Curt receiver but then I found some 3/8
scrap and made it so I didn’t have to worry about hanging down too low.

it was a bit of a chore tbh. The receiver piece is welded to a plate which bolts to the OEM crossbar at rear behind the receiver. Welding in there sucks btw.
At least now I can slide whatever accessory hitch I want in there…specifically my new work trailer and a bike rack :-)
