Hey,

I'm trying to put this 1978 HJ 45 together.

Can someone tell me what this hole in the flor is?
Is it for the hand brake cable????

Looks like good work there! Please tell me you have pictures of the process to get it from that pile of parts on the trailer to what it is now.

Here's a close up of the assembly in that general area. It's just the accelerator pedal spring, as far as I can tell. I can't find a picture that definitively shows it as NOT protruding through the firewall, so it might do something crazy like that. Not that the picture is real helpful, but it's a start.

IMO, it's the parking brake cable hole - just like on my '78 FJ40.

I have that same hole in my 77 canadian 45.

there was a crappy dimmer switch bolted in there, but I don't think that was factory, not a very convenient spot for a dimmer.

I basically hid it under the floor mat, not knowing what the hell it is....parking brake cable hole sounds like a good guess...
