Also be aware that the seat foams are different between Lexus and Toyota on the power seats.

While we're in here, anyone have the part numbers for Lexus? The Lseat covers have been here long enough I need to get on this project...

Back from the dead...

Does anyone know a good place for me to find both the pad and cushion for the driver's seat? I think I read that the cushion is not longer being produced...

Go to partsouq.com, enter your VIN # and browse through the parts pages for your truck.

We just picked up a new driver's (LH) seat cushion over Labor Day and installed it on our 97 FZJ80 with leather seats.

Out of prodction n/a
Just rebuild your old foam or get the LC foam and fill in the gaps

I got new seat cushions from Spectre back in 2014 if that helps. They were $150 each but my ass thanks me.

Thanks @FirstToy
Are both the back and bottom pieces different between LC and LX?

It is on the 1st page, McGeorge Toyota.

Thanks for the lead! Looking at partsouq... it will be roughly $200 just for the driver side pad. I saw that Land Cruiser Heaven has non-OEM seat pads for roughly $300 for the set. I've heard that they make quality stuff... should I try them or do you think OEM is the only way to go?

Yes sir. I can get the backs from them but the pad is no longer available... out of production.

I just remembered this interesting thread on seat foam

Bummer. If you are having them installed, most installers are very good at replacing/repairing the foam with quality stuff.

You can afford those Sheelman (spelling) seats diesel man. I think the Toyota seats are a perfect mix of comfort and lateral support.

Those seats look really nice.

Yes they do but my rig is actually used off road as much as on road. I wouldn’t want to abuse expensive seats the way my rig gets used. New factory cushions, fabric seat covers covered by canvas that I also got from Specter suits me well.

IF I could feel the difference in PITA after a long day, I would pay the extra $100. I suspect that much difference won't be noticeable, but I have no experience with the LCH pad. Toyota's stuff is high quality and time-tested and when it;s cheaper than the alternative, it's up to the alternative to make a case for it's pricing.

EDIT: IOn re-reading I see the alterntaive was $300 for the SET, I assume seat and back together. So cheaper than Mr T, in which case, maybe. It's also something (the seat cushion at least) with a myriad of hogrings that have their own special attachments, etc. I didn't have the proper tool for this and only did about half of mine when I added my new cushion. Works for now.

Seat pads are still quite readily available from Toyota.
Who’s in the photo? What year? Dude looks terribly smart....

Click on the photo and you will see.
I see a part number and a couple more lines in his face is all. Did this guy invent the fj55?
