An ARB Front bumper would look perfect with that wheel and tire combo

I agree. I kept debating on which bumper to run.

When I bought tires I kept rembering what you said about swapping back to the 285’s vs 315s

Cruiser maintenance...

New Toyota bolts and bushings in the radius arms.

Chased a oil leak that I thought was power steering fluid. It ended up being the Distributor o ring. Also found a crack in the rotor button.
  • NewToyota Power steering cap.
  • New Toyota upper radiator hose.
  • New distributor oring
  • Rotor cap and button

Getting the 80 ready for the haul up to the Barn. This should wrap up the front end maintenance and improve highway drive ability.

TRE’s are installed.
Shocks are waiting to be installed.
Steering box will be here Wednesday.

Drive safe

No way now your truck is just that much nicer! Hope to hear how you like them the Tacoma needs a set
I don’t know about that, kids are hard on the interior. Smell like a mix of sour milk and old biscuits.

I’m hoping to drive it today. Waiting on the steering box from brown Santa. I did a lot of research and asked a lot of questions before I decided to purchase. The 10 way adjustability was a huge selling point. Being able to dial in the suspension was a must. After the drive this weekend I should have a solid opinion.

Need to do an update before I forget.... I’ve finally got the steering and handling dialed in. The Ol 80 drives better than it ever has and I can run 80 with my pinky now. Before the Christmas party trip I did get the reman steering box installed. It helped but the play in the steering still made me nervous. I had new bushings pressed in after the trip. The frame side bushings were destroyed.

After some adjustments with the sector screw the play is gone.

The shocks ride awesome and I’m very happy with them.

Im running a cheap stabilizer and may upgrade it to something of better quality. After a stabilizer the front should be finished up for a while.

I spent the day under a tornado warning. Seemed like a perfect time to get my Aisin hubs installed while I kept an eye on the weather.
As I type this it’s headed towards NC.
Stay safe ONSC.

A lot going on the the 80 right now. The interior is at the Amish having the 1st and 2nd row being recovered. Im doing a two tone with a plaid insert. I’m using a material made for patio furniture. uV resistant, breathable and water resistant.

Decided since the Steering hasn’t quite felt right it would be a good time to make some changes and improve on the feel of the interior. NOS leather wrapped steering wheel along with some other goodies.

NOS Camry steering wheel. 45102-06061

also picked up a universal. firewall bearing for a steering shaft.
New pump and steering box.

The reman steering box I installed before Christmas has a slow leak. I had a replacement sent. This should overhaul the steering.

@NC LX it looks like you got a new rag joint? I guess Toyota calls it something else, or just considers it all to be a universal joint. Does the steering feel any better by replacing that? How was the play before you replaced it?
