Please let me know if you are able to post pictures when you do your install. I ordered it as well. Thank you so much.

I haven't installed it yet, but there are great instructions on how to do so, with lots of pics. Should be simple enough, just need time to focus on it.

Yeah! Those are my pics...you can thank my wonderful gf :)

Two days ago I purchased a white 2009 LC. The sales person had a decent amount of knowledge. He tried to unlock the Navigation by hitting Menu --> volume --> touch the top left of the screen then lower left, then top left. It did not work. He swears that this has worked on the same generation navigation system. Anyone here know of such manuever?

BTW, the LC is wonderful. Powerful, capable, comfortable, feels solid, attention to detail and very understated.

Jb knows the pattern exactly , but still it only unlocks it for when the LC is on...once you shut it off, you have to re-enter that crazy code....not worth it!

This only works on a version 5.x disc, not the 7.2 disc that you have. You can modify the disc to reallow this override, but like DTT said, it must be entered every time. Also, there is a very high possibility that the next disc update will not allow the loading.kwl file from a 5.x disc.

If you want the override, this is the only "real" solution.

Any updates on the actual install of this override? I purchased but have not installed.

"Yeah! Those are my pics...you can thank my wonderful gf"

JB are you not permitted to post those pictures in this forum? I bought the kit and the install instructions are black and white with small pictures that are hard to see all stamped with "property of Prestigious Society" on them. Did they give you a free module and tell you that you cannot post the pics?

It would be so much easier to actually be able to see the pictures your girlfriend took instead of trying to rip apart a 60k car to install based on a photocopy.

Well, it wasn't free....

You shouldn't really even need instructions to do this. It's quite easy...

I had it installed today and it works great

I had a local shop install the override. Cost me $150.00. I am sure I could have tried it myself but frankly the chance of me screwing it up was not worth it.

Works great. I mounted my "navi / tv" switch where a few unused blanks were on my truck near where my right knee is when driving.

I could not do it where JB did b/c I have a phone charger there.

Looks good where I had it mounted.

Only disc I had was my kids' "Spongbob" but here is proof it works!

By the way, the Prestigious Society guys were very nice and emailed me color photos of each step, which I printed and provided to the shop along with this thread.

Here is where I mounted the NAVI / TV switch

No cut outs on truck.

No cut outs on truck.

I have 2 phone chargers there too and it still fits nicely.

Also, why did they mount it sideways? I see they also did my hack of routing the cable out the back.

Those blanks could have easily been removed and mounted vertically. In fact, they could have removed the circuit board inside and flush mounted the unit behind the switch.

Not sure why you would sacrifice both blanks just for one switch....im curious....

How would you "remove the circuit board in side and flush mount the unit"

I can get them to do that. You saying just have the two buttons on there and on one blank? I dont know.

I like better where I have it than where you have it. I couldnt reach it where you have it my hands are too big. To each his own. Thanks for the heads up on the unit.

But I am interested in what you are saying about flush mounting it cause I would like to either do that or have that done.

and I do have discs other than Spongbob

... god father

Wow thank you sooooo much JB! They should have given the unit to you for free. I am calling them in 5mins to order mine. Not having the nav work or the movie screen while driving is annoying. The movie screen would not be used much unless my wife was in the car with the kids. Very dangerous for the driver.

I just bought it online. I can't to have it installed. Is there a step by step video on you tube. That would be awesome.

Both switches are just momentary switches. Not sure I could give easy directions, but anyone very proficient with electronics and circuits could do it. It would be a custom one-off project, do doubt.

I wonder if toyota would install them? That way if they mess it up it would be covered.

Yeah right! I wouldn't even ask....
