Hey mud,

It's with a heavy heart I have listed my fj40, aptly named "Shorty". I have decided to put more money towards my fj62 and also create some room in the driveway for my 16 year old to get a 4runner or Land Cruiser.

MUD PRICE--- $16,000

Asking $17,000 on FB, but on mud I am willing to negotiate and work with serious buyers. I bought the truck out of Arkansas, and it was driven out West and then built by some guru in NorCal 20 years ago, on the PO's watch. The PO also built the family cage, front and rear bumpers. The truck is solid, and has served me well. As my friends know, I drive my cruisers, and don't have the luxury of owning trailers to tow them around like queens. My rigs, even Shorty, see interstate miles. A few of us did Relic Run in 2018 and logged almost 1,000 miles round trip. Shorty did it in style, and at 65 mph the whole way, LOL.

I also have videos and more pics I can send....

cheers, and Happy New Year!!

Joel

That's a private group you linked to, no one will be able to see it without joining that group

By "NorCal" gurus, are you talking about Wardens in Placerville?

I’m not sure. The PO bought the truck out there, and had it built SOA before he did the Rubicon. 20-25 years ago, because I’ve had it since 2015

Sounds like the Wardens then, I don't know many others doing SOA at that time

What I do know is it's a good rig, and a "driver". It has a low SOA and doesn't feel too tippy on the streets. The Bilstein shocks are a nice compliment to the flat springs, and the Saginaw and 4 wheel disc brakes are enjoyable mods....

WHAT?!?!?! I can’t believe you are selling this rig!!!! Thought you would be buried in it. You saved my butt more than once with this mountain goat! Def going to miss seeing it on the trail. Hope it stays close to home:/

Thanks, everybody. Hard to see it go! Carlos made it back to Atlanta safely last night, and reported to me that he had a hard time at gas stations because people kept coming up and taking pictures, LOL
