ya.. all the unbolted stuff falls under home insurance I believe...
I have had 2 friends who have had their vehicle stolen and they both found their vehicles by just driving around and looking. The police dont cross reference vehicles towed away for parking violations and your cruiser could be sitting in a compound racking up impound fees.
Being a cruiser it is most likely in the sooke hills or shawnigan lake area. If you have posted it on island 4x4 etc maybe the weekend wheelers might find it before it is stripped.

My brother had his 91 accord stolen from UVIC a few months back. He found it, running, a few parking lots over.
If you don't find it, and have to buy another cruiser, can I suggest the highly regarded "Thief Head Decapitation Mod"?

The last 40 I knew of stolen from Uvic turned up a few blocks away.
It's really hard to say.
My kryptonite steering wheel lock has seemed to help. The ignition lock is of little value, it won't even slow most thieves down.

ya i've been doing some cruising around uvic and various other places watching for it but so far no luck...

That sucks, but I think I may of saw it going towards vic from the airport a couple days ago. I am on the road all the time I'll keep eyes open

If it was in the morning of the 5th that was me... I live between the airport and Uvic... It was stolen sometime between 1pm and 7pm on the 5th...

Well icbc and me had a nice chat today and they were kind enough to inform me that they don't pay replacement cost... Just what they think it would sell for... So I'm back to printing examples for sale...
yeah, kinda the same deal with boats. my 30 footer had two values on the survey, market value and replacement cost.
Market value was 20k , replacement was a ridiculous theoretical number that involved buying a brand new 30' boat, so in this case replacement cost is a new 4x4?
Don't know why they bother with it really...
