Glad to see Andy was found. Hopefully ICBC will cut you a check for some new shoes and whatever else was damaged.

Is the motor, transmission, frame, body, and... Ok?

It looks like they were just after the tires. Probably just some punk kids, not someone organized.

Best of luck.

ICBC

Your losses should be pretty clear cut now. You've got a way better chance of being treated fairly now.

Don't let the ICBC bastards right it off ... Unless it works out more favorably to buy it back and fix it yourself.

damn... you are lucky to find it in one piece like that... usually they roll it over and take the tires and then torch it... know of several people that have had there trucks stolen from camosun and you make number two from uvic... everytime they found the trucks they were on there lids and torched...
but what can they actually take besides the tires everyone on here knows the people in the city that sells 40 parts ... parts are not that common to come across like the mini truck parts...
let me know if you need something that i might have to get her back on the road..

I have dealt with ICBC on a theft when my vehicle was stolen and they were a ROYAL PAIN IN THE ASS lawyer up my friend would be my advice cause icbc is a fricken joke i got f*** all when some a****** stole my truck, painted it and got into a police chase in it....they flat out called me a liar and told my dad that i had painted the truck and that i arranged it all just to avoid paying....so i would seriously consult a lawyer i have NOTHING good to say about those bloody crooks. i really hope that your truck is located without damage...its a unique vehicle and a small world....i would start posting up on island 4x4, crawlin bc, IRC ect ect and keep an eye on used vic for anybody selling parts that look like what u had on ur truck...best of luck buddy

I agree with you totally about ICBC.

Pss. They found it on page 2, less tires and ... ? :o

Whats the story?:popcorn::popcorn:

Oh man, best of luck Steve....where was 'Andy' found?

Looks like they got the tires what did the bastards take and destroy?

Steve and I went to check it out the other day. The Fuzz called him and told him where it was, I met him right away and we went to check it out together. Steve has to grind out the details with ICBC...... until then check his post in the members only forum for updates.

I'm just glad he got it back.

driving up my road tonight from the school at 11:30 pm in the fog nothing looks better then the back end of a 40 in the driveway!

Right on... good to see you got it back.. hope everything worked out well with ICBC...

Kill switch under the dash somewhere is the best way. Something that lets the engine crank without starting. That way they will keep trying without looking for a kill switch. A dead battery is easier to deal with.

i am going to be uber paranoid with the new rig down south.
3 weeks at royal roads.
Have you heard of people even with clubs getting their stuff stolen?

I've known some less savory types that say they use the club to break the steering wheel lock before they bust it off... So I don't know that they're really much good.

Ignition kill and fuel pump kill would be the way I'd go about it.:D

Oh and a line lock...:hillbilly:
