and where did he import it from? Did ya look at the background? I"m guessing it's OEM country.. Based on license plate and username.

Yeah, I'm a moron... Captain obvious over here did not notice.

Interesting,
Anybody know how much weight you can lift before you bend your main frame rails at the point where the support cables attach?

That's definitely a concern. I've seen two 1941 Dodge military pickups with frames damaged from lifting too much weight with gin poles.

Here's my crane setup. It's a Harbor Freight pickup crane, with plenty of reinforcement. In this pic it was being used to hoist a milling machine in and out of the bed. For those who do not have a winch, it could be possible to bolt a heavy plate or beam across the front frame and mount the stand pipe for this crane to it. I've thought about including a plate to accomodate this when I set my winch plate up on my FJ40.

It's also made in a taller version with a manual winch.

Just saw this . I had to build something similar to do a bunch of heavy lifting back in the woods at a cabin . I mounted a smaller 3500lb winch in the back that is for the draw line . I made a pulley bracket to go over the stinger to use the front which to set the height of the poles . Didn't realize any one else had done it to a cruiser .

the trim rings around the headlights are fj25 I think.

Look closer at the bib...there are holes for the bezel and the emblem in the grill.

The trim rings are Mitsubishi jeep parts from a 74 j24. Very cool little truck variants of which were made through about 1995.
