Cleaned the pig, buffed the paint and took it to the local car show. Got a lot of attention. She cleans up real good!

P.S. Sherman, I copied your flag idea, hope you don't mind.

Its actually all original except for the wheels. I did get the original wheels with the pig though. As for the future, I plan to restore it next year, keep it mostly stock except for Air Conditioning, bucket seats, power steering and modern seatbelts. Its a desert car, so really no rust issues. All the rubber is crispy though.....
I have the original window sticker and put a copy in the window at the car show. People got a kick out of seeing it's list price in 1974. $5,100.00

The only weatherstripping I need is the front windshield. I deleted the rest of my windows & rear door cuz I saw how much all that stuff cost$ Just ask Liljon about the prices :D There's quite a few resto/ mods on here w/ plenty of info covering it all. Looking forward to seeing yer :pig:s future progression :bounce:

Nothing wrong with piggies at car shows. Here's a few pics of mine at a car show last year here in Guatemala.

Of course green and white piggies are the best anyways! :)

Cruiser_Guy,

I agree green and white piggies are the best. Can't wait to get my stock rims back on.

I did not think mine would come back either. It was a chalky white green, but a couple of hours using Turtle Wax rubbing compound and some elbow grease, it looked very good. I put a coat of wax on top after the show.

very cool! I am digging that green Toyota pick up in the photos too....

It's a Toyota Stout, not sure on the year but it was in nice shape for a vehicle especially here in Guatemala.

Did the same thing myself on Sat. with Pigwald and I put my 85 year old father behind the wheel of his 63 Mercedes 190c (he hasn't driven that in years). His got waxed the night before...Pigwald not so much. But it was nice seeing dad behind the wheel as I looked in the rear view mirror. Lots of interest in the pig and the Mercedes. Next to us was a Studebaker Hawk Gran Turismo. If I had a nickel for every knuckle head that called it a Gran Torino and Pigwald "a cool jeep"....I'd be rich. It was a nice afternoon smoking a stinkie cigar with dad.

Howdy! The Stout is probably mid 60's. I used to have my eye on one in the bone yard here. It was complete, and no rust, but it was partially buried in a pile of other cars. John
