Picked up these two 4 runner the other day. The gray is a 91 and the blue a 92.. The gray runs and drives has about 200K, the blue has a blown motor and about 215K..

I purchased the blue one for parts, i've been wanting a factory tire carrier and the original wheels for a my gray one. Anybody ever transplant one of these?

But now im thinking about keep both... I really like this body more than any other...

I'm a Landcruiser guy, owned a few different rigs.. Currently own a 100 series so 4Runners are unknown to me...

Those are my favorite Toyota year body styles, the running gear not so much... The blue one might make a good 3.4l transplant candidate... it's just money! lol

The 3.slow has the head gasket issues.

Keep the blue and sell the grey. Do a 3.4 swap or even cooler a Toyota diesel swap!
What are your plans for it?

We'll the blue truck needs body work.. The PO must have had accident the front right fender is out of alignment. The interior is dirty and looks like they had a dog and he was all over the place...

The gray truck is clean inside, the clear is going but no dent or rust on the bumpers or body...

Toyota Diesel swap would be awesome... A 3.4 would be good too....

I plan making it into a trail truck... 3 or 4 inch lift... I have a lot of learning to do about these rigs, but I'm looking forward to it...

I love the look of the stock truck with a lift on some 33's...

Something like this... Ya know?

That's nice! If it's going to be a trail truck does it really matter how nice the body is? :meh:
I guess I should ask. What type of trails are you looking to do?

You are correct I guess if it's a trail truck it should not matter... But I enjoy taking old ugly stuff and making it nice... It's more of a past time for me.. I'll fix it up real nice repair all the mechanical issue and leaks, I'm just weird like that...

I live in FL, so there is nothing to climb here just lost of sand and water, and I hate running my trucks thru that crap... So a trail day for me is sunny and cry....

I like the red runner u posted up. Everyone is talking 3.4 or diesel swap, doesn't anyone like the 7mg anymore? It would be wicked bad @$$ if u lifted it just a hair and slammed 33s and a 7mg in it! But that's money and what I wanted to do to mine but sold it.
