The bed looks great--Wally did a good job!

Can you share a price?

$1600. I wanted something that would look original to the untrained eye and I just couldn't pony up for a Aqualu or Heritage since it will be wheeled. The bedsides are made from 1/8" so it should be pretty stout.

Wally does great work. I called him because everyone has great things to say about the tub he rebuilds.

Actually I think that is a good deal and the thicker material will hold up better. You could have probably bought a bed that needed fixing in the 1000-1500.00 range and by the time it was repaired you would have another 1K in it and still not have as a good a product as you have.

If you take the bed off the truck, would you be willing to post some pics of the underside support structure?

I agree. Even if I could find one here in the north east.

Yeah I need to do that.

I don't plan on taking the bed off but I'll see if I can get some shots of the underside when I get it home.

I am still waiting to get started on mine. Bought it last year and still have not got going on it yet. Bed is in OK shape but body does need some attention. Still by god it is a 45 lwb pu and they are mighty hard to find in the southeast.

KKT,

Interesting that your bed was swapped out for a later model.
Did they delete the under-seat gas tank, and does the under-bed tank occupy the spot where the spare tire usually lives, or is it more forward of that position?
