I think they are ready.

Stopped by University Auto for a quote on filling in the holes, sanding, and rhino lining the fender flares and bottom half of the doors. Said $480 total. I'm sure cash could beat that. Can't decide on khaki or black.

Gotta ask yourself, Lawrence of Arabia, or Storm Trooper?

I spent between 2 and 3 hundred to do it myself and I'm sure it doesn't look 1/2 as good as it could have.

If I could do it again I would have done the whole truck. I know we already talked about that and I understand your concern. That's just my .02.

When/if my 80 ever dies I'm getting something with obdII and second gear start. I am not taking the flairs off/lining the next rig.

I got a HF 12k winch today. On sale for $299 and a 2 year warranty. Woody uses one and swears by it. I'm also going to order a 2 inch ironman lift.

I also got my best tank of fuel mileage last week. 13.1 mpg! Yay me.

I got a deluxe apartment in the sky. With a 2 inch lift...

What caster correction will use? Bushings or plates?

Don't know. Recommendations?

I just wrote a novel of a reply, read it, and realized I said a lot of nothing.

No I don't have a recommendation. I bought and never installed a set of drop brackets for the back of the front control arms. After my first wheeling trip I realized those would be in the way and it would have required moving a slider mount to install.

Matt lead me to believe plates are a lot of work.

I can't tell a big difference since changing caster, but its possible I have too much correction... When I get 315s I'll see if that makes any difference. If not ill throw on a generic parts store spring spacer for another inch of lift up front and see if that changes anything.

-yes that was the shortened version-

Either way. Another inch will look good at the mall. :greenpimp:

Keith beat to the good quote. I'm calling ACC tomorrow about a lift. In found flares in white too. So they may be going back on.

Your sliders are almost finished, one more good night in the shop and they should be ready to go.

what are your impressions of it? Everything I've read says it is extremely durable after the control box is sealed up. I've almost bought one a few times. :hmm:
