Got the Hewitt Tech bypass kit in today. Hopefully gonna install it this weekend! I’ll update this thread with how things went!View attachment 2259327​

Easy to install spray penetrating lube on all your nuts and bolts. Also with running the wire I got some loom to cover the bright non factory wiring that will run from the fuse panel to the other side of the engine bay. Just to keep things stock looking.

Finally got out to take some better photos of the sliders installed, My buddy Chad, who owns bashfab is currently running a 10% off on sliders if anyone is interested. I am really trying to get an advice from you, currently I have 2005 Lexus es330 and I need SUV and I am in love with gx470 but the problem here in my place is that it is mostly driven by older people here, I will be 37 this October, please do you think this vehicle is for me.Will I be okay with the care as younger person.

You're in luck! I also happen to be 37 and found that I am fully capable of being wise and mature enough to own a GX470.

I know most of our counterpart GX470 owners are essentially wise old owls who only successfully own their GXs through decades upon decades of experience and sage wisdom, but let me assure you, once you too turn 37, you will unlock the skills necessary to succeed in the 120 platform realm.



But in all seriousness - it's a car. You drive it and maintain it. It's not like you're pondering bringing a baby into this world.

If you said, "hey bro, I'm turning 15 tomorrow, is the GX right for me?" I'd say no, but you're 37. You should be well on your way to being old enough to own an SUV.

Just installed some wet okole covers, front and middle seats full piping with the dog leashes. Teal/turquoise is my lady’s favorite color and she is a marine science major so that’s what’s up with the sea turtle on the front seats. Turned out nice!

Got a buddy who makes a lot of paracord stuff to make a set of handles for the interior. We done the front 2 and made some to slip over the headrest for now. Gonna do the rest later on!

Blacked out the grill, matched the Lexus Emblem with the interior turquoise/teal colors we are going with.

Got my quad retrofit brackets in from [B]ambiguous[/B], Looks to be extremely high quality and would recommend. Plan on doing a Morimoto D2s 5.0, not sure what i wanna do yet in the factory high beam location.

Timing belt and water pump done! Replaced the fan bracket, upper and lower radiator hoses, thermostat, etc. basically anything that could be replaced (with in reason) was replaced! Should be good for another 100k!
