@Aloha Jen so do they have actual 4x4 trails on the islands ? Are they open to visitors with rental 4x4s ? Thinking I wouldn't mind taking the wife there on a vacation.

That is very kind of you to say. She is actually my sister in law, married to my husbands brother...but we are very close and have been friends for a long time.
Yes, year round swimming here. But the water does dip to the low 70's this time of year. In the photo above of me coming out of the water, there was a sea turtle swimming right around me in the shallows, you can kinda see it in this picture:..]
Were you at the missile range thing? I drove on the beach next to it and ended up having the military come out and threaten me. NeatWow, I was in the military stationed in Hawaii for a year back in 1999, and we never made it out to any of these amazing spots! Looks like I need to get back in the military and have them send me back!! Ha.

As for pics of me surfing, I wouldn't expect any good ones anytime soon as I am a terrible surfer.....but it is a lot of fun!
And couldn't agree with you more on how beautiful it is here, I am reminded of that daily!!

Plenty of trails on the island, but they are either on private land or public land that need a permit. It's like they make it so all the tourists with their Jeep Wrangler rentals can't go anywhere. You could do it, just need to apply for permits before coming. PM me if you are coming and I can send you the permit websites ahead of time.@Aloha Jen so do they have actual 4x4 trails on the islands ? Are they open to visitors with rental 4x4s ? It hasn't got out lately, as it just came back from the paint and body shop after 3 months there. Starting to slowly get it put back together, so it's only getting interior reassembly pics and the occasional driveway poser shot.Great photos. The HJ60 getting any exercise these days?

Seriously you also have a diesel 60 with round headlights and manual transmission ? Are you posting pictures of it over in 60 forum ?
Thanks, it's Toyota Dark Green 6V7Awesome color choice!
Going as close to original as possible, with a few tasteful mods.I will be honest when you posted the first pics of the color I wasn't sure about it at all. Now that I see it with the black grille and a little less shine in the pics its starting to look really great.
Are you going all original on the interior or something else?
Yes, it's a diesel HJ60 manuel 5 speed. It looks good now, but will be gorgeous when we are done with it. There's a few pics in the 60 section, but once it's back together there will be a ridiculous amount of pictures of it!Seriously you also have a diesel 60 with round headlights and manual transmission ? Sorry, don't know any AlohaDave. My husband Mike's username here on Mud is @pescado. But he is rarely ever on Mud. If he is, it's usually in the 24v diesel section, typically trying to figure out some obscure complicated 24v electrical stuff that I have zero understanding of. It's all business over there though, they don't have any fun like the 80 section does!Haha, had to chuckle @Aloha Jen - you gotta be a new forum record with <1K posts but near 4K 'likes'.
You are a cutie to the fullest & I'm sure you know it too- beyond that you have talent in the pics you take, some of the beach/landscape shots you take have had me thinking plenty.....if only areospace CNC was a industry there. If Boeing was in HA, I'd get froggy & jump...like yesterday.
Also, you know I dig the diesel 60 (shoulda kept the Alcoas) - let alone I'd trade you 80's if we traded addresses too
I saw a new name pop up - is @Aloha Dave your 'partner in crime' w/ a new login so we know you as a couple?
Your guy seems a very smart 60 guy, I just never recall his login aside seeing the 60 & know he's your other 1/2. Whatever his login, we need to hear more from him, IDK 60's but I like his input on the one you guys own!
