Just purchased a 1971 FJ40. Engine runs. Needs a clutch, bed, good washing, some wrenching. Here's to a winter of work! Back end, tub? That's missing. Was apparently rusted through and unusable. THe front end is in pretty good shape! Pictures below. Suggestions, tips welcome. See below. And since I'm not sure how to embed them from my phone, they are listed as attachments. Cheers!

About to make the trek from St Louis.

Below: factory doors, seats/frame, tool box cover, gas tank cover. Call it "Fun."

Front end up close.

Side Views. Missing the tub.

Cowl, right? I dunno. Little rust. Solid! I need a manual. Don't know what any of those switches and buttons do yet.

:flipoff2:welcome to mud!
I personally think 1971 is one of the coolest years. What month/year build date is yours?

As a lot of rust seems to be taken out already, before you do anything take what's left from the frame and inspect if it's all worth the efforts and costs.

it seems it will be at least a summer and next winter project. You will find a lot of info here.

Welcome to the madness !
