I am in the process of doing a SAS with a 85 axel and TG 3" kit on the front. The rear is receiving Chevy 63" springs. I have everything tacked into place and I'm not sure about the shackle angles or the upper shock Mt placement . My rear shackles are set at 18degs. Is this enough or should I have more angle? Also what do I need to do with the porpotional valve..relocate it or bend the lines around the shock Mt bar? Any

I also need a new locking hub. Will a hub from an fj40 work on a 85 pickup axle? I have a set just need to dig them out.

Depends on the year. I believe 1979 and up, yes. Prior to that the hub was different. How many do you need? I might have an extra or two.

The two I have are from an 80 or 83. So they should work...just got to find them.
Thanks for the info.

I'm looking at the pic. It looks like most of it is OK. Just the "control handle" is boogered. I would pop that off and give it all a good cleaning. I also have extra handles (someplace) if that is all you need. I might have some other internal parts if needed.

So I got the truck out and flexed the suspension everything seems to work good no binding, but I didn't have the shocks on yet. The measurements that I got off u tube said to mount the front hanger at 9 1/4" forward and the rear 4" off the rear of the frame. The tire is sitting about an 1-2" off center and I'm a little scared of mounting the shackle hanger being the original hanger. If I leave it in place I will reinforce the back half of the frame so it doesn't bend.
Does anyone have info on this placement? Also rear driveshaft 2pc or 1pc??

The inner gears and snap rings are boogered also... if I can't find or if the ones I have don't work I will get back with you. Thanks!
