Congrats on the new location. I had to make another set of shackles, as the first set wasn't long enough. The Chevy 63s are very surprisingly soft. It's important as a daily driver to get the shocks as vertical as possible to help with dampening. Many with the swap have the shocks angled at close to 45 degrees. That's great for off road, but really dampens the shocks effectiveness.

Thanks were excited to get out there!
You made your own mounts right?
Yeah I hope to find a good median between the two.

Yes, the mounts were built.

That's awesome I really think I'm gonna go with the 63s and seeing how great your truck does on the highway I think it's gonna happen!

Wow that looks beautiful how far of a drive was that from where your at?
My wife's from mebane and I think in the next year or 2 well be making a trip out that way.

I couldn't imagine being any more pleased than I have been with
the 63's.

It's about 3hrs 45 minutes from my house, but definately worth the drive. The views are beautiful, and the trails are long. They are not very technical, but are a great place to get away, and go camp. I've been 2 times in the last 3 months, and will be going back in another month or so.

That's probly going to be in my top 5 things to be done before I go to Colorado!

Any more plans for your truck in the near future?

Right now, or for at least the last month, I've been trying to decide what way I want to go on the engine. At 330k, the fuel mileage is starting to drop, and the beast, is definately making less than the rated 115hp. I'm having a tough time deciding between a rebuild or replacement 22re, a swap to either the 1uz 4 liter lexus, the 5vz 3.4 toyota, or the 3rz 2.7L toyota engine. There are pros, and cons to each. Whatever route I go, it HAS to be done before July(when I leave for next trip).

I have an ARB fridge setup in route, and will build a rear cargo system with slide drawers to accompany, and plan on building door panels, recovering the rear seat to match the fronts, and replacement of the carpet before the trip.
