That's good news and bad news!!

Georg is very reliable... Apparently someone else wasn't...

Thank you!!

I have two manual oem pumps... I really think the pump is gonna test out fine, now that I've blown it out. I carry a spool of fuel line (in case I ever need to bypass my 6-port Pollak switching valve), so I think I will buy and carry one of these 4-6psi Carter electric pumps... http://www.amazon.com/Carter-P4070-...1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage

... in the event this recurs... I could have the Carter pre-mounted and pre-wired and even pre-plumbed (with a couple of T's)... then, just flip a switch... $62 for a little peace of mind.

Plus, working under 44 on all those rocks (and the scorpions I had to dodge) is not something I want to do again... and removing and replacing the battery several times is not something I want to have to do on the trail... my back and hips will need to recover before I can return to my Chippendales job at night
I put in a Facet bypass elect pp. just so I could get the fuel bowl full of fuel after the rig sits for several days-eliminates the big batt drain when trying to get it going using the mech fuel pp.--works great--10 seconds on the toaster over timer switch and the pump fills the carb up-ready to start--it's a good mod--

Sounds like a useful mod for those with the same problem, Gary!!

Luckily, I don't have that problem... 44 simply wasn't getting fuel.

Termites are definitely bad news. That's something I'm dealing with, fortunately I haven't found any evidence of live termites, so far. I am, very slowly and as money allows, repairing/rebuilding the second floor area of this house due to termite and moisture damage. I remember my Dad telling me that he had to bring in somebody to deal with a termite infestation, I think sometime back in the 80's.

New shoes and socks - I went with new 15" wheels and 31x10.50x15LT BFG KM2's...

The wheels weren't supposed to be here for 6 more weeks... but, they arrived in time for me to drive down (sans AC), in 109* heat... I had to make a rest stop on the way home and parked in this garage. Now, 44 is in my garage and the door is blocked by our travel trailer (preparing to leave), so these are the only pics I have... this may be the last time they are black...

Looks out of place, no dogs hanging out of the windows, and in the depths of a parking garage.

Yeah, it was too hot to take them... and the pictures were taken in the bowels of hell... I stopped to cool down and eat. I should have taken a dry shirt...

Hey, Danny! (Where's Waldo?).......At least a photo you posted that I can find "44" in. Saved me half a days work not having to search so hard.....

Me likes the new wheel look.

I have a picture I know you can't find 44 in... because the zoom resolution is too distorted... so, I'll be fair and not include it.

I'm planning new adventures... I bought a couple of snipers' veils and plan (when I have time) to hit a DNWR area called "Joe May", with Chester... we'll need to be 2 miles up the drainage at daybreak... and then lay still, with my spotting scope and camera and watch over a guzzler (rain collector for wildlife), from about a half mile away and try to get pictures of Big Horn Sheep... but, we'll need to be very still to see them, from that close up... and not scare them off.

...and we'll need to start back to the Tundra (AC) before it gets too hot... around 9am.

Chester's like a camel, he carries his own water and I'll have everything else.

I feel as if I should be calling a fire mission looking around like that.

You have to be permitted to call in a strike on Big Horn Sheep... and, even then, only during hunting season. :wacky:

I'm hoping the camo will keep the rattlers from bothering us... Chester will have my 6... but, we're more likely to step on a snake during the hike up or down the drainage... I'll be wearing my 17" snake boots and Chester will have his boots and will stay leashed to my belt, so I can work my blind man's cane, back and forth in front of us. :chicken:

Well, Rick... you've got me looking at pictures... I always liked this one... this is Gunner and 44, not long after the delivery... before 44 grew up.
