Necessary, nah not really. Not to mention the quality of these are only so-so. I have a bad feeling that the "rubber" is going to get chocky after being in the sun a short while because the material is not real rubber, it is kinda gummy, like silicone. Just like the wing window gasket material that I purchase and returned a while ago.@ConspicuousPig I didn’t put on door handle pads…think they are necessary?

I will send a photo this afternoon. They arent pretty and Im sure they're gonna whistle but im okay with that. I will probably squeeze some weatherstrip sealer into the cracks and call'er good.what did you put on them to refurbish them?

I have used Folgers plastic lids and traced the outline...just to have something that prevented metal on metal. Not exactly an ICON level rebuild in my case.@ConspicuousPig I didn’t put on door handle pads…think they are necessary?

Brilliant.Took it to the drill press with a hole saw just to get rid of the bulk material. I cleaned it up to a scribe line with a die grinder.
Will clean up and paint these tomorrow.
