figured you'd like to see the LX470 I bought for 600$ last year. I love yours

Another question for you guys.

My friend got me this key cover a couple years ago for my birthday. I have a crappy no name key, I’d like to get something that will make this cover work but 185$ wholesale for a new key from Toyota is still a bit much. Especially if i only plan to use the buttons and ditching the OE case. Any suggestion on what you guys would do? Please attach links

Bought that kit for my son last Christmas!

Are you going to wheel it? Brushing against even a single branch will be painful after all that detailing. I often look at how scratched is mine now and wish it was still fresh and smooth as when I first got it :(

After cutting and sanding the weld did you apply some coating or paint before the rubberised coat? It could become a quickly growing rust spot.

Smashed the pinch welds, rubber coated it, and it was still rubbing on full lock. Cut some of the fender and sanded the bottom of the weld. Gave me a good bit of room for clearance.

Some guys cringe at this but what the heck! I’m running this thing into the ground.

It took me two full paint corrections and ceramic applications before I learned it was futile on a truck that gets wheeled in the forest.

I’ve been working on this grill. I’ve always wanted to run the “TOYOTA” emblem but the crest bothered me. I shaved it, sanded it best i could, added panel bond with some mesh, cleaned up any imperfections with light bondo, primed, and trim blacked it.

Primed it. Painted it. After paint i noticed some pin holes that i wanted to cover. Used some brown putty, wet sanded it, scuffed the entire grill over again. Sprayed it and i was happy with it at this point.

Blown away. I looked at mine for something similar before going with the landshark. I don’t know how you pulled that off! Looks so good Dan
