Hey pj, yes i used a light stripper on a lot of areas and only used the wheel inside the molding areas. It was tough!!! I mean i had to work it over time with the stripper.

This is how many dents were pulled. Something as little as PDR can really clean up the body. Make it look a little better. This was done while the door panels were off, so we could easily get to the difficult places. Dents done by Kevin “Dent Wizard”. Thank you Kev!

Black grill isn’t bad! One of my favorite things on this vehicle was finding the oem roof spoiler. It was missing when i bought it. Thank you Jeff C. In Marietta Ga. i kid you not , i called almost every pull a part from Cali to Ga. couldn’t find anything and boom! A local helps me out.

The day finally came where we put some color down. I was going to go body matched but i decided to go oem with just a slight brighter tone.

Holy smokes, he rattled canned the mud guards too! I know most folks would of left it but i decided to clean it, sand it, spray adhesion promoter and again trim black.

Mirrors, handles installed. The entire rear bumper was sprayed and i went back to add the black. Masked it nicely with no runs.

Installing the molding, with new oem clips, 3M double sticky. Here’s a pic of the bumper chop and how nice it is when done before paint.

This is where i mentioned i cleaned the roof rack without knowing I’d end up with a new rack. I went with Prinsu and the wait was only 2 weeks! This is the Yakima Top Water box . 8Ft long for my fishing poles , the box won’t always be on the rig. But i do looooove some fishing and I’ve had some rods broken in transport.

My plan was to always replace the cracked windshield. I saw at the top where the previous owner had it replaced, the glass guy cut it out wrong and caused some slight rust. I thought it’d be more minimal. After pulling the glass, i saw it spread down the top and both sides. That’s okay, i got to work and started cleaning. The rear upper right hand side of the gate has a very little rust spot too. I also knocked that down so i could stop the cancer.

first step was dropping the A pillar handles, sun visors and center panel. Removed the a pillar trim, and slightly drop the headliner so it wouldn’t get ruined. I 3M yellow taped the A pillar before adding gorilla tape. I did this because i didn’t want the gorilla tape pulling up my clear, but i need that tape for maximum protection while sanding and grinding.
