great looking rig! The guys at the Toy Doctor say hi! They think you got a great rig that will provide many years of joy.

I say a Portland 60 series get to gether is in order soon.

Here's the latest:

-Added a roof rack(temporary until I weld one this summer)

-Rubber antena, painted the wiper blade housings, installed CD player

-Put on 80 series rims with 1 1/2" wheel spacers. Finding lug nuts became a nightmare because different 80 series rims take different kinds of lugs. Here is a thread I started to find the proper lug nuts.

Current tires were free with the rims(275,70,R16). Once I get it lifted a little, it will get 285, 70, R16 Cooper STT's that I have from my truck.

Ohh, and I got my 40 out for the summer. Yay!

I like how they retain the stock look. I bent the tabs on the old center caps and put them on with a rubber mallet.

Very nice looking cruiser's and everyone should have two.

If you get into anything mechanical that you don't want to handle let me know. I know the best Landcruiser mechanic in Portland. The guy with the Landcruiser tatoo on his forearm.....on Willamette Blvd near UofP.

Rootbeer is possibly the best factory color for a 60. And with that buffing, that paint sure came back to life! A beauty for sure. And your "Before" and "After" is unfair, as the lighting was totally different, but what counts is the after, which is all good.

And man, oh man does that need a lift and bigger tires!

Well, sold my FJ60 today. It was sad to see it go but I need to focus on getting my FJ40 fixed up. I'll get a commuter car for the time being but know I'll revisit the FJ60 someday. Probably next time I'll buy one with a diesel of find one with a wreck motor and put a diesel in it.

This rig was my daily driver for the last 2 1/2 years and treated me well. I wanted to put some final pictures up so I can remember what she looked like and consolidate all the info I learned along the way.

A HUGE thank you to everyone on here that helped me work on it and give me tips. This forum is incredible.
