Yes this looks good to me as well. Update?Looks like a nice alternative! What are the specifics on this display unit that you're using? Go back and forth on the hamilton unit, but may go the route you did.

Never heard back from him; and the unit in the pic doesn’t seem to have any identifying brand/marking to research as far as I can tell.Yes this looks good to me as well. Update?
Sorry on the delays. This is the unit I haveNever heard back from him; and the unit in the pic doesn’t seem to have any identifying brand/marking to research as far as I can tell.
I do. It was a low cost solution.Do you still like it? Any downsides?
No worries at all! Thanks for the link. Still interested in going this route perhaps. Have also considered an iPad mini at this location, but this seems less obtrusive for sure.
Yea volume works as is since it is connected via Aux.No worries at all! Thanks for the link. Still interested in going this route perhaps. Have also considered an iPad mini at this location, but this seems less obtrusive for sure.
I think I’d be fine without factory track changing, but does the steering wheel volume button still work with it? Also, (and I ask this as a total newb that hasn’t yet taken center speaker grill off or removed any dash components) does the method of snaking the aux cord from center speaker to the aux plugin involve removing head unit, dash vents, etc..?
Sweet, I like this little setup. Sure, send over any pics if it’s not too much trouble. Greatly appreciated!Yea volume works as is since it is connected via Aux.
Snaking the the wires only required removing the leather side panels that house the push to start and the opposite passenger side panel. Those are just clipped and and can be removed fairly easily. I used a step bit to drill the appropriate sizes to fit an AUX and USB C cable. I can take more pictures tomorrow.
I used the leatheranddirt dash mount as well if I didnt state that already.
I like this. I would almost consider switching to it.My non Hamilton setup. Used in combo with the leather and dirt mount system. Cleaned up the wiring. Plugs into aux, keeps all stock functionality. Works well imo
