sh!t man! you got it out without a load-leveler? I thought it was tough WITH one, that's gnarly.

looking good though...

The Trick

What you didn't see in the pic was my tranny jack under the tail end. I jack it up slide it forward and reset my chains. Easier than doing an engine out of a HMMTT, and no leveler required.

Well, glad to see the divorce proceedings went easy with no drama....now, time to prep the pad for the new lady....

hey I just realized ...........

I wound up with the ex:doh:

If it's like most re-marriages she'll treat the new beau much better than the old one.....

Oh well she should perform well in her new roll, without all that pesky smog stuff with a nice free flowing header and 1500 lbs less weight to lug around.:flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

You got that grille in blue yet?:flipoff2:

Blue has a new grille and she owe's it all to you. Thanks a million. Keep me in mind on the ds door. I got the exhaust pipe for ya. Just drop me a line and I will get it to you. I know the EX is going to like her new home with less baggage. She should be ready for a long term relationship. Now time to move in the new mistress!!! :bounce: :D

Is the weight difference really that much?

There is between a 60 and a 40! (which is where the 2F is headed)

Huge if you go from a 60 to a 40. For the 60 the 350 goes around 400 lbs vs the 2f at 600 lbs. The 60's front end will love the lighter 350 engine.

....I guess i wasn't reading too closely regarding the 1500 lbs. I would love to remove 200 lbs. off my rig!

BTW, Digging this thread.

Yeah, and I'd like to point out to those doing or considering conversions that during conversations with Downey, FIS was mentioned as company that really knows what they are doing......service was great, ordering was easy and I'm glad I went with them......now, I can't wait to see the thing in person!

If ya' search for them here you'll find I have been using 'em for years, great folks

WTF is Naked Gun?????

Sorry Naked gun is used by body shops for cleaning paint equipment. But it removes grease and paint of metal like nothing and it isn't as harsh as stripper. Washes off with water. Will post the clean up pics tonight. I didn't have any oven cleaner handy. And this one was major dirty.

I used Fuel Injection Specialties in San Antonio when I did my TPI conversion. They have been nothing but super supportive and hepful.

Looking very nice I can't wait to se the final pics.
