Hey I was just skimming thru your post and dang! great job. I have an 83 Blue 60 with a SBC right now. I am putting things together right now to do a VOrtec swap. Did you keep stock gearing?

All stock gearing in front and rear. New 5 speed and a little extra ponies in the front

I am also in the process of of transplanting a 5.3 vortec with a 4l60 e auto in to my FJ 60. I am interested to see how others how have done this swap have addressed the relocating of the rear tranny mount. Thanks for any information
