The Fighter.....I LOVE true story movies like that. Christian Bale? WTF? Can you imagine losing that much weight?

Also, we went to see Harry Potter on Imax/3D and it was pretty cool. I was a bit lost since I had not seen one since the first movie, but overall I knew what was happening.

That was PG-13 and I am thinking about taking them to Captain America....thoughts?

he looked SUPER messed up. Great story, I love Whalberg in it and the girlfriend was a good match too. Make ya think twice before huffin!!!

That's a saying right?
Well it is now...

Anyone else seen Rise of the Planet of the Apes? Saw it this weekend, thought it was pretty good.

Watched Hall Pass this weekend. Pretty blah. Not nearly as funny as I had hoped.

Lots of language and sexual situations, and some nudity. Definitely earned it's "R" rating.

Wife and I watched it. It was almost like they TRIED to be crude and obscene without being funny. We almost stopped it a couple times. The puking/diarrhea scene was pretty funny, though....

Agreed. Had a few small parts that were funny, but not worth watching again... and wouldn't recommend to others.

"The Help" is hilarious. My wife had read the book and was talking incessantly about it so I took her last night. Luckily I fandangoed our tickets...line wrapped around the foyer!

The movie followed the book closely and was hilarious, thought provoking (about civil rights) and will probably mop up awards for costume, supporting actress, lead actress, drama, set design etc.

The Mayflower (downtown restaurant), Brent's Drug Store, and the FairView Inn are all in the movie as notable landmarks of the 50s and 60s. Word has it they were all redone as they were during that time period and it was really neat to see them with Tbirds and 50s models Chevys parked out front.

Take some tissues for the wife as some of the relationships in the movie are tear jerkers but the movie is excellent.

The Fandango preview even had 2 of those hilarious puppets talking in the middle of a neighborhood street...to their right in the background was a mud covered 40 grill which my wife actually pointed out...they zoom out enough to see the front fender well and bumper but that's about it.

Great movie to take the wife too, esp. if they have read the book or are involved in Jr. League of Jackson which is NOT shown in a good light!!

I think it's PG13, they say "s***" twice due to a hilarious scene and I think that's about it. Oh one graphic scene with some blood where a lady miscarries a baby but it's very brief.

Most of it was actually filmed in Greenwood and some of the aerial shots depict the old downtown Greenwood along the river (I assume it's supposed to be the Pearl) but anywho.

Good movie....will certainly earn many awards

I read the book last summer and literally devoured it on a flight to Montana. Very well written and I agree, thought provoking from the aspect of civil rights. I know it all happened, but I am always shocked when I am confronted with details.

Hope the movie does well. It's a good reminder that not all people in MS are hateful racists. Given the recent hate crime that took place here, we could use a positive force in the media. Poor man. Awful. I agree with whoever posted on fb about the fact that the perp should be run over with his own truck. Ahole!

I saw Kathryn take a trig test blitzed out of her mind in high school. Pretty funny. She and one of her friends thought it was a good idea to do the 2-3 martini lunch at 7 am. Its nice to see her doing well.

saw The Help yesterday. Very good movie. This years The Blind Side.

after I watched it I had to eat a cheese burger, get a shower (without bleach) and sleep 8 hours to make sure I avoid his dilemma.....JEEEZZEEE crazy movie

Saw the help tonight and was excited to see it stayed pretty close to the book. Someone said bring tissues....I agree. But if you read the book, you'll need more tissues than if just seeing the movie. Great book/movie to remind you that those times weren't that long ago. Shameful.

Real Steel is good. Great ending.

Netflixed
Bridges of madison county
I will watch anything Clint eastwood is in.

Good movie, especially if you want to feel better about being a cheating hoar ; )
