We caught The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo this evening. Disturbing, but an outstanding flick, best I've seen in a couple of years. I may go see it again next week.

Realistic violence and gore, and nudity. Not appropriate for kids.

Caught Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol

Good movie and keeps the intensity

Did girl with the dragon tattoo contain a violent rape scene?... If so I'll pass. I have the international version on netflix, but havent watched it because of this. I may watch this version cause i can hit FF.

Very violent. Int. version too.

I don't get the "need" to include this in a movie. Are we viewers so stupid that we can't figure out that "something" happened? Having second thoughts on this for a date night movie. Thanks for the warning!

as the father of a little girl that is literally the last thing in the entire world I want to think about LET ALONE watch in a movie....

.I love 2 things in a movie.....history type movies and good ole "John Wayne" type violence....they writhe and scream in pain with very little blood and then just fall off the horse....!!! haha

Is the book any good. I got a kindle and am looking for some material.

The first 1/4 of it is confusing but then it takes off like a rocket and does not slow down for the rest of the book and the two after it.

One of my favorite sets of books ever.

I watched the sub titled one a while back. The violence is hardcore but it has its place in the story. It is not violent just to be violent.

It is a major part of the 3 books. Literally a defining moment for the character.

It's not a date night movie.

What Nolen said x2. Definitely not a date flick. The violence isn't gratuitous. It's there because it lays the foundation for the central character's behavior. For those who find such themes offensive, save your time and don't read Larsson's books or see the movies.
