very good. loved the soundtrack back in the day.
One of the best car chases if not the best.

No s***. I love the "whup whup" of the 4 barrel with the breather cap flipped.

Bullitt is better, then the car chase in Ronin, then LA

How you know? Thought you had not seen LA?

Ronin is awesome. I also like Bourne Identity.

The emotion and the confusion around the car scene in LA is what makes it.

I watched the car scene on utube. I understand its better with the story but for a car scene it should stand on its on. Bullitt has much better cars, American muscle, and its freakin Steve McQueen DrRIVING not a stunt guy

Ronin Has the cool cobblestone streets, round abouts, explosions, a BMW and much better engine sound

LA is a great scene, ESP the RR track cut off and the way they caused the get away by having the 18 wheeler jack knife but those cars aren't as cool and the predictability of " oh know we are being chased lets get in the storm drain like every other la movie" lost my interest.

Bullitt and ronin have great back story to the chases too so I think we should judge simply off of " the scene".

That was your generations best car chase scene, ours was To Live and Die in LA and I don't it has been trumped.

Generational? That's funny. I saw the flick for the first time in the 80's, when I was younger than you and Grogan. Enjoyed it, including the car chase. That was the pre-Cruiser period when I was racing Porsches, and as a road race driver I just didn't find the chase scene believable. That's not the same as bashing the flick, which I'm not doing. Bullitt's car chase was completely believable. I guess it's a matter of what you're looking for.

http://www.imdb.com/list/hskaP_DMW7Q/. Here is what the internets say. Bomar, Lee, and Nolen mentioned most of these.

Most of these involve the classic muscle car or high performance overseas models. Most movies are the originals and not the remakes leading me to think its bc they are more believable with the exception of the blues brothers cop pile up......hilarious

Watched The Hunter last night. Filmed in Tasmania, one character drives a mustard 40 flatbed. Spectacular scenery, heartbreaking story. I'll watch it again just for the cinematography.
