I just picked up a Dakota Digital RTX Cluster for my ‘71 FJ40.

I am looking for a way to mount the Retrotech Control Box in a way other than double sided tape.

Is there a mounting bracket sold? Can anyone share photos of how you mounted the control box?

I appreciate the help.

My biggest concern was moisture. I wrapped mine in a heavy ziploc block bag and then wire tied it to the top of the pedal tree behind the dash. Early times yet , so I can't tell you how durable it will be.

Same on the Velcro and put it in the glove box. I didn’t want to cut any holes so I just ran the wires up and over the sides. It hasn’t moved.
The all new 14 circuit wiring harness, Dakota Digital harness and the LS stand alone wiring harness was truly a case of 10 pounds of stuff in a 5 pound sack. Room and access behind dash is severely limited in these things.

I used an industrial looking velcro and just stuck it down somewhere.

Pretty sure I made you a mount when it went through a second time.

Heres what I did.

Mounting plate that lives behind the cluster and bolts into the pedal bucket.

Moved our DD control module from behind the instrument cluster to the glove box (pocket). Made a cardboard template, taught myself to use CAD, and designed a mounting shelf and a cover. I'm sure folks with better skills have come up with more elegant solutions, but it worked out okay for our needs. Sent them off to Send-Cut-Send for bending and powder coating.:
