Hey guys. I know this thread is old, but I’m trying to fab up some brackets for my bowfin rack to mount my gen 3r Alucab. RFB, how did u modify the load bars and fab brackets? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
These aren't the best pics but I mounted mine on a Prinsu rack (same cross bars as Bowfin)

I had to remove the front fairing, move the lightbar down & remove the forward crossbar behind the fairing. You could actually keep the front cross bar behind the fairing. I only removed it as to not have the lightbar sitting proud of it. It is somewhat protected now under the tent.
The Alu-Cab RTT just sits on top of the crossbars. I would think that the Bowfin mounting would be similar.

Thanks! I really appreciate the info
I'd eventually like to mount it lower, so the tent sits on the side rails but this is good for now.
That would require drilling new holes for the cross bars like @RFB did though.

Did you only rotate the front crossbar?
I actually just removed the front crossbar that the wind fairing mounts to. The second bar is horizontal.
The rear most bar is vertical.

The "L" brackets supplied with the tent mount to the rack cross bars at the 4 corners and the tent side brackets mount up to the adjacent cross bars over the center of each the 2nd and 3rd row windows .
The intent was to evenly distribute the weight on the rack then the full length side rails evenly distribute the weight to the rain gutters.
Mounting it this way, the tent bottom sits approx. 18mm to 21 mm above the rack side rails. The variance is probably a combination of the Prinsu side rail combined with the Alu-Cab tent bottom. It would be nice to get it flush though but it still fits in an 8' garage with 37" tires and a 4" heavy lift.
