Having grown up in Iowa, I am an openly and admittedly a sweet corn snob. We used to eat it by the dozens in July and August. Most people and restaurants overcook their corn. All you need is 5 minutes either steamed or in boiling water, butter, salt and pepper. I do like the idea of this videos' nifty trick for shucking the ears, but I am afraid 8 minutes in the microwave for two ears of corn would make it too mushy for my tastes. Besides, sitting out on the patio, shucking a dozen ears of corn and cleaning the silk off of them brings back fond memories from childhood. The best part is...that when I am not in the mood, I make my kids do it!

If you must nuke them, doing it in the husk is the only way to go.:hillbilly: I prefer the grill.
